SMS came alive with vibrant energy and eco-conscious spirit during its much-anticipated Green Day Event on May 3rd, 2025. The celebration brought together parents, teachers, and young eco-warriors for a day dedicated to sustainability, creativity, and hope for a greener future. The event featured meaningful activities such as the Soil Passing and Plantation ceremony, where parents planted saplings with love and care, symbolizing the nurturing of both Earth and young hearts. Students enchanted the audience with soulful choir performance, expressive eco-themed dances, and a captivating puppet show that combined fun with powerful environmental messages. The launch of the SDG Book for Children, designed by Headmistress Ms. Sona Gombar, marked a significant step in educating young minds about the Sustainable Development Goals, while teachers’ story enactments brought these values to life.

The event also included inspiring speeches from the school’s Headmistress and renowned environmentalist Ms. Nidhi Malhotra, reinforcing the urgency and hope for sustainable living. With heartfelt participation and electrifying enthusiasm from all involved, the Green School Mission at Salwan Montessori School has clearly become more than just an event—it’s a movement toward a greener, brighter future. Here, green is not just a color; it’s a deep commitment shared by every child, parent, and educator to protect and nurture our planet for generations to come.
